In 2008, the CS&HSBA Board of Directors decided to offer buckles to junior members showing champion rams and ewes in the Hampshire, Suffolk and Wether sheep divisions at the Cow Palace and the California State Fair.  Allan and Norma Freitas ordered the buckles through their local feed dealer, who gave us a great discount. 
     They were so well received, that the board voted to continue the tradition and expand it to include honoring the senior exhibitors's champion animals at the California State Fair with buckles, also.
